Debbie Ford dies at 57 after cancer battle

Self-help author Debbie Ford dies at 57, according to a Feb. 18 Denver Post report. She wrote best-selling book "The Dark Side of the Light Chasers."

Debbie Ford died on Sunday in San Diego after her battle with cancer. While she helped millions of people with their lives and relationships, Debbie Ford's own life was plagued with problems like divorce, drug addiction, and other issues. It was these that she survived and drew upon to give her advice to others.

Unfortunately Debbie Ford did not survive her battle with cancer. She will be missed. She is survived by her mother, son, and brother. No parent should ever lose their child, and this must be a horrible time for the family.

Her sister Arielle Ford said,

"From the time she was a little girl, Debbie was one of those people who had a strong mind of her own, and did things on her own terms and that is how she lived. And she was always so funny! Even up to the end, she had us laughing. She leaves us with such an impressive body of work. We know that her contributions will live on through the millions of people she has touched with her books and teachings, and the thousands she has trained in her work."

She spent her career helping others break free of their emotional baggage and fears and become better people in the process. In all, she wrote nine best-selling books. At the time of her death, Debbie Ford was writing her 10th book. There is no word on if it will be published or if she finished it.
